PRAY has been actively associated and sponsored various development activities for the under privileged in India. Some of the highlights are:
PRAY donated Computers and also imparted 2 weeks of training to educate children of Middle school. This has been a great learning experience. In the words of Pranav – “It is a perfect example of how we can bring change at the ground level with the help and sponsorships from corporate and individuals. The enthusiasm will result in imparting data entry skills, programming skills and repair& maintenance skills to the deserving students so that they can go out and earn a living for themselves and support their families.”
Vocational training is a key focus area of PRAY and we are constantly seeking help and sponsorships to scope and implement IT related projects which will enable self sufficiency. The pilot project is under scoping to enable us to create a infrastructure wherein we can at least develop 20 self sufficient individuals every year. Please contact us to discuss the ways and options available.
PRAY founding members have been supporting medical aid for the children with partial or permanent disabilities.
This is what one of our beneficiaries has to say – “Thank you very much for the aid provided to my family to support the treatment of my polio infected leg. With everyone’s efforts I have now been able to move around and do my normal household and school activities with less and less dependence on others. I feel much better and confident now”.
In turn, PRAY is sincerely thankful to many of their sponsors and donors for helping us to bring smiles in the lives of people.
PRAY participated with individuals and companies in Netherlands to generate funds which enabled them to provide basic necessities like woolen blankets for the people who suffered heavily in disastrous earthquake which rocked part of North India during October,2005. The campaign was conceived and launched by one of our Advisory Board members.
On a regular basis PRAY provide support in cash and kind to orphanage(s) and hold community food days benefiting hundreds of under privileged.
We will be happy to talk to you if you have any suggestion, feedback or option(s) to launch a development campaign. Please contact us. |
